Services.

For all of these edible garden concepts we offer consultation, design, implementation and mentoring to bring your edible garden ideas to fruition.

Coming soon will also be an online course and membership program.

  • Edible Fence.

The edible fence was a concept and opportunity that arose when our front paling fence needed replacing. Working with our neighbours, we designed a fence that was made entirely from a wide variety of fruit trees. The idea being that we share the produce with our neighbour and have a prettier outlook, whilst maintaining a level of privacy.

In consultation with our clients, we will design your very own edible fence, incorporating your favourite fruit trees, specific to the area in which you live.

  • Edible Garden.

We are passionate about growing our own food and are looking forward to supporting our clients to enjoy the benefits of connecting with the land and what they eat. Whether you have small scale plans or much larger projects, we will be able to help you achieve your goals.

We offer a variety of opportunities and will be guided by your goals and requirements. This could include seasonal garden designs to suit your backyard, the opportunity to have ongoing support to maximise your gardens potential or garden bed ideas or designs.

  • Edible Natives.

In recent years there has been more effort made to provide access for everyday gardeners to grow and enjoy native plants that used to thrive in the Australian landscape. This journey is all about sharing knowledge and we hope to share with you our experience of growing edible natives. We would also love to share your experiences, to broaden everyone’s knowledge and understanding.

We have had great success with Murnong (Yam Daisy), as well as plants to eat, make tea and as seasoning and garnishes. We have Murnong seeds available for those who would like to grow this root vegetable.

  • Aquaponics System.

Aquaponics is a beautiful system where water cycles from a pond containing edible fish into vegetable grow beds. The nutrients produced by the fish feed the vegetables and the vegetables clean the water for this fish, supporting each other to thrive.

Whilst the set-up and maintenance may appear challenging at first, we are now in our fourth year and keeping a watchful eye is all we need to have a successful system.

We are able to help with design, material and fish selection and provide support to ensure you too can have a successful aquaponics system.

  • Beekeeping.

We are now in our third year of having bees and whilst we are no experts, we have learnt a lot along the way and can provide the best of our knowledge to get you started and provide more expert recommendations if you require.

Experiencing the taste of your own honey that has come from your local area, is amazing. You will also be increasing the bee population which is vital for our survival and increasing pollination of your and your communities gardens. So if you are keen to give bees a try, let us help you out.

  • Backyard Chickens.

Chickens are great for a number of reasons and relatively easy to keep. Not only do they provide eggs for you to enjoy, they produce wonderful manure for the garden and if you have you kids, are a great pet and way for them to connect to the outdoors.

There are a number of things to consider before buying your chickens and we can provide our knowledge to assist you getting started.

  • Initial Consultation

We offer a free 15 minute phone consultation which is an opportunity for us to understand your goals, for you to ask questions and for each party to establish whether we should proceed and work together.

The next step would be a 30 or 60 minute consultation (via phone, zoom or site visit) to obtain more specific information and begin to share ideas and plans of how to proceed. For some, this may be all that is required to get your project underway. Some may prefer further support with designs drawn, a written summary and plan or even for labour to be completed. We are flexible and want to work with you to achieve your edible garden.

  • Design Ideas

After the consultation, we are able to provide you with a design of your project and step by step plan for you to complete your new garden. Of course, we can be there to help you complete this, however, for some, the design and plan may be what is needed, and the fun part of bringing it to reality commences.

  • Mentoring

We will always have questions about our gardens and having the opportunity to ask those questions is a must. Down the track we will create a membership that people can join where you can contact us for questions and advice. Until then, feel free to contact us if you need.

  • Garden Maintenance

Growing gardens can sometimes get away from us. Steve is available to help get things back on track from mowing to pruning, weeding to mulching and any other jobs you may need help with.
